Verge sheet
The verge sheet is used at the eaves that are raised with a triangular batten
Roofing shingle membrane
The triangular batten is installed at the verge, directly on top of the sarking, before installing the membranes. In a roofing shingle roof, the underlay is bent over the triangular batten outside of the verge, serving as a so-called flood membrane. The roofing shingles are cut according to the upper limit of the triangular batten and glued to their surface with the Sealing Compound K-36. After installing the roof ridge plates, the verge sheets are installed.
Triangular batten roofs and membranes with sealed joints
The triangular batten is installed at the verge, directly on top of the sarking, before installing the membranes. The roofing is bent over the triangular batten outside of the eave, serving as a so-called flood membrane. If an underlay is used under the roofing, the underlay can be bent to serve as a flood membrane. When the roof ridge of the membrane with a sealed joint is ready, the verge sheet is installed.
Installing the sheet
The sheets are installed from fascia with sealed roofing screws (5-6 in all / 2 m flashing). If needed, the sheet can also be attached from the side of the roof. In these cases, it should be noted that the screw near the roof surface may, in time, cause a leak risk. The sheet lengthening pieces are interleaved for a distance of 5 cm. The corners are cut off from the folded edges of the lower flashing to interleave the plates. The installation order of the sheets must be noted. The installation of the sheets always starts from the lower eave, and the upper sheet always goes on top of the lower one. This means that water cannot flow under the sheet.
